Fuad Shahbazov is a researcher and political scientist specializing in regional security, energy diplomacy, and international transit routes in the wider Eurasian region. He has been published extensively by various international publications, including The Jamestown Foundation, CACI Analyst, The Diplomat, New Arab, Stimson Center, Eurasianet, including media interviews with Newsweek, Politico, I24, Aljazeera, MEE, Le Figaro, La Croix, etc. In addition, his work has appeared in various academic journals, policy papers, and publications.
Fuad holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania (2016), a professional Master’s degree in Terrorism and Countering Religious Radicalization from the University of Bergamo in Italy (2021), and a Master’s degree in Defense and Diplomacy from Durham University in the United Kingdom (2022).
He has held positions such as Research Fellow at the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Senior Analyst at the Center for Strategic Communications, Chief Advisor at the governmental foundation, Geopolitical Risk Analyst, and Visiting Scholar at the Daniel Morgan School of National Security in Washington, D.C.
